Up for auction is a very fine quality Victorian Silver Plate Salver Tray. The tray is top notch quality throughout, showing finely cast and etched designs with four fabulous Ball & Claw feet. The tray also features a fine original Period Family Armorial that reads Standaktig Och Fast, which I believe is Swedish. The tray is made by the fine Period Silversmiths James Dixons & Sons of England and interestingly would have been retailed by a very early Birks Store, most likely the original in Montreal Quebec Canada. The tray is a nice practical size for serving many things, measuring approx 12-1/2″ across the top or 10″ across the service area and sitting 1-1/4″ tall on the four raised feet. The raised feet are a nice feature, because even it you place a hot serving dish on the tray it will not burn or mar the surface of your fine furniture. The tray is in very nice condition for the age, with some minor wear to the Armorial and a nice warm patina throughout, as it has never been over polished or dipped. Trays of this quality are always most sought after and the examples with nice Family Crests are even more desirable, I doubt you will find many as nice up for auction with no reserve ! Up for auction with NO RESERVE is an amazing quality Antique Gorham Sterling Silver low pedestal form Serving Tray or Cake Plate. The Cake Plate features an amazing wide border of pierced designs as well as having a very thick cast fancy border around the outer edge. This honestly is one of the finest examples I have ever seen. The Serving Tray is a great size for use or just for display measuring approx 10″ across and sitting 1″ high at the edge with the low pedestal form foot rim. The Cake Tray is also incredibly Thick Sterling Silver throughout weighing 350 grams. The Tray features a really wonderful flowing family monogram that is honestly so fancy I could not even decipher it and I am sure you could tell your friends it is your initials and they could not argue The Tray overall in excellent, all original condition, ready for use or display and I am sure the new owner will be most impressed when they get to handle it in person. I doubt you will find a finer example up for auction, especially with no reserve !

We are offering for sale a fabulous George III period 12″ salver with a simple thread edge. The restrained decoration is repeated around each of the three feet. The centre of this tray is engraved with a Coat-of-Arms and motto “Quod Adest Gratum Juvat” (translates “If what I at present have pleases and makes me grateful”).

This salver would be ideal as a large waiter tray or could hold a three piece tea or coffee set. It was made by the premier specialist tray makers of the period – Crouch & Hannam and is in fabulous original condition.

Beautiful Early 20th Century Silver Plated Oval Tray

Early 20th Century Silver Plated Oval Salver backstamped made in England, silver plate.

It has a pierced galleried edge with decorative floral chased design and a plain centre cartouch.

It stands on four ball and birds claw feet. The handles are decoratively scalloped.

The dimensions are 18 and 5/8ths(47cm) long excluding the handles by 13 inches(33cm) wide max

The weight is 1 kg

The Condition is fantastic, a few fine scratches from use and a few pin head size marks, but otherwise the silver is not worn at all.

There are no dings dents or bends on the tray at all.

I am very happy to post abroad, particularly to Germany and Italy as I know these items are popular there. If you want a posting quote please ask me.

Very nice Georgian silver salver with detailed fluted edge. Three shaped feet and stamped H.F&Co in rectangular box + Crown ( for Sheffield ) +Lion Passant Guardant +”C” for 1920 . Light scratches on surface ( seems to be from polishing) and one scratch near centre perhaps from item sitting on top ( its not deep and its hard to see unless you tilt the salver).12″ diameter. I don’t have scales ,but I would say it weighs approx 500grms .If anyone wants an exact weight I can take it to the post office and use their calibrated scales. Smoke and pet free home.

Rare Georgian Colonial Indian sterling silver round tray / salver, made circa 1770.

This is a very early Indian silver round tray made circa 1770 by maker ‘G.L.A.’ – I have not managed to trace this maker so if anyone does know who it is, I would be very grateful if you can let me know.

The tray is round with a raised border with bands of reeding running around the edge.

The tray stands on three feet.

It measures 6-3/4 inches / 172 mm in diametre and it stands 3/4 inches / 19 mm high. It weighs 226 grams.

The underside of the tray is stamped ‘Silver’ and maker’s mark G.L.A.

The tray is in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair.

I accept payment via Paypal as well as personal cheques in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank. For international customers, by arrangement payment may also be done via bank wire transfer.

I will post worldwide and I aim to despatch items within 3 days f rom receipt of payment. Shipments within UK are via Royal Mail Special Delivery next day service. I aim to describe all of my items as accurately and honestly as possible :

In the case of ANTIQUE ITEMS. I will describe the items condition in respect of damage, repair etc. Buyers should appreciate that many items are of considerable age and therefore will show signs of general wear and tear, commensurate with it’s age.

As a rule I use this guide, when commenting on condition :

EXCELLENT – In almost as new condition.

VERY GOOD – Some signs of wear and tear, but in generally sound condition.

GOOD – Has had a fair amount of regular usage, signs of regular wear and tear.

AVERAGE – Has been used heavily and may show more severe signs of wear, light damage or repair.

POOR – Item is damaged, poorly repaired or in need of repair

In the case of COLLECTABLES. I will only lightly clean items so as to protect any patina etc. prior to dispatch, it’s condition will be as described. I recommend that any items that you plan to use for either FOOD or BEVERAGES should be thoroughly cleaned before use. I inspect all my items thoroughly and aim to identify any damage etc. and include it in my description
In the case of vintage ELECTRICAL items I cannot give any personal guarantees ; the item is sold as seen, and will leave me as described.

I often wrap items a day or so before the auction ends, on items that already have bids, so as to get items sent out as quickly as possible, so if you have any questions etc please don’t leave it too late in the auction to ask them.

I know the postage rates may be a little more expensive than standard post, but it’s tracked and then signed for on delivery, which protects both parties. I only use Royal Mail or Royal Mail Parcelforce. As a result I have NOT lost an item in the post to date.

Item : A SUPERB 14″ Antique ~ SHEFFIELD SILVER Plate ~ Letter / WINE TRAY/ Salver ~ c1810

Description : This superb old drinks / letter tray has an ornate cast rim design, and ornate cast feet, it is Georgian c1800 / 1810, and at 36cm wide a good large drinks size. It is plated in the old Sheffield manner, bonded to copper the underside is tinned. The central cartouche is solid silver, and unused.

This is one of the best of this type I have seen for a long time
